Marine Cleanup Initiative, Inc. has conducted marine cleanup operations for the removal of re-accumulating debris for nine years through volunteer-driven projects.
We are always seeking to train and add new divers to our growing database of activists.
Currently, we use volunteer captains and boats to take divers to and from cleanup sites, with deck hands for each boat, as well as onshore spotters. Participation as a deckhand or spotter ensures diver safety and does not require diver certification. In addition, volunteers are needed to help sort and properly dispose of items collected from each dive.
